Timesheets allow you to get accurate hours and expense data from your fieldworkers instantly. You can allow your field team to create time logs and expenses in a way that works best for you. There are three main ways to use them:
Option 1: You can allow your fieldworkers to add timelogs as and when required from a blank canvas. This means they can add as many or as few time logs as they need weekly.
Option 2: You can create time log templates so that your fieldworkers have timelogs pre-created and all they need to do is enter the time spent on each. For example you may want your fieldworker to add time spent working each day, time spent travelling and time spent on administrative tasks on a daily basis.
Option 3: If your fieldworkers need to create timelogs on each job, you can set up job based timelogs, which will automatically create timelogs for each job created.
Configuring your Timesheets is a simple process. To do this go to settings and click the "Timesheets" tab. You can also create Timesheet Templates to speed up this process each time. See the video for a detailed guide on how to do this.
Timesheets in Mobile / Fieldworker App
Completing Timesheets from the Fieldworker App is an easy process. You can access Timesheets by clicking the "Timesheets" tab. You then have two further tabs, your open Timesheet weeks that haven't been submitted and submitted Timesheets that have already been completed. To navigate weeks you can use the left and right arrows or you can click the date which will open up a calendar for easy week navigation.
Navigating Timesheets from the Web App
The timesheets section in the web app will give you a list of all of your field team split into weeks that can be filtered by statuses. You can change week using the left and right arrows and if you need to view by day, you click the "Day View"
You can create new timelog and expense records for field team members by clicking "Add", and you can also view a particular Fieldworker's hours and expenses by clicking "View", next to their name.
When your field team has submitted Timesheet records, you will be able to filter the list by submitted status, and then approve them directly from the main list in bulk. If you want to take a deeper look at each Fieldworker's time and expenses, you can click view, take a look at information and when you’re ready approve from here.
